Thanksgiving Gratitude Tree Activity

This Gratitude Tree is the perfect activity to help visualize all the things you are thankful for, and understand why they are so important.


This activity also a great resource to start talking about gratitude with your younglings. Introducing this concept is particularly important because being grateful can improve your health, emotional life, and their social life according to science.

This Gratitude Tree reminds us to appreciate the people in our lives, be grateful for the things we have, and be mindful of every little thing around us.


Thanksgiving Gratitude Tree project takes approximately 15-25 minutes to complete.

What You’ll Need:

  • printer*
  • up to 4 sheets of paper (per tree)
  • scissors
  • tape/glue*
  • markers/crayons/pens/or pencils*

*for any of the items with an asterisk, alternative materials can be used. If you do not have access to a printer, use our template as a reference to draw your own tree/tree branches. On a separate piece of paper draw your own leaves. As always, our projects are designed in hopes that you are able to use everyday items from around your house.

STEP BY STEP : INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:

First, decide how many Gratitude Trees you want to make. You can make a family tree or let everyone make their own. Print the necessary copies.

STEP 2:

Write something or someone you are thankful for on each leaf.

STEP 3:

Next, color your leaves.

STEP 4:

Cut out each leaf.

STEP 5:

Arrange your leaves on the tree and tape or paste them.

FINISHED!

Revel in your gratitude.
